I am lazy, it seems.

I have been pretty absent from life, the universe and everything the past week.

I’m also restarting Couch to 5k, because I am shameful and easily distracted and just sort of stopped waking up early to run. I feel badly about it, but better now that I’ve admitted it publicly. It’s only been a week since I updated, but I feel really rusty writing this entry.

Over the past seven days, I’ve taken a decent amount of pictures that I want to make into a photo post at some point in the near future if I’m able to motivate my lazy ass to do so. I really have been spending most of my free time with Kindle lately. After putting off taking a friend’s suggestion of seriously at least a year, I started reading The Book of Jhereg by Steven Brust and I’m really, really enjoying it. I finished the first book today, and I’m already about 1/5th done the second one. I definitely see myself reading my way through all thirteen currently-published books. Maybe not all in a row, but perhaps over time.

As always, reading has proved itself to be a nice distraction: one of the walls outside my apartment needs to be replaced since it’s causing water to seep into the ceiling of my place (it brought down a chunk of plaster earlier in the week) and I’m not crazy about having workmen in and out of my apartment for who knows how long, but reading has helped me ignore that fact for now, so yay! Honestly, they’ll probably only be in here during the day while I’m at work, so whatever, I guess.

Also, I finally tried the Lindt Excellence Chilli Bar,and it’s sort of disappointing, honestly. Only the most barely noticeable kick of spice as an aftertaste, booo. It’s good chocolate, don’t get me wrong, just not very chilli tasting.

  1. I still can’t get into that ‘spicy chocolate’ mix, but I haven’t tired it yet, either. I will eventually….

And I took off like 3 days on Couch to 5k, because of that DC incident. Restarting can’t hurt, but you could just try to repeat the last one you did and see how you feel.
